UK NICU MARCH OF DIMES WALK

Today was the March Of Dimes Walk America for the UK Children's Hospital NICU! We had so much fun and got to see so many of our NICU friends. Andrea and Lauren were there and I even saw one of the nurses that took care of me at St. Joseph-the other hospital I was in before I transferred to UK! We walked 3 miles. We are very sore. Of course Emery isn't as she had the best seat in the house! :) Everyone couldn't believe how big Emery was and how great she looked. We visited, walked and ate and visited some more. It was great to see other babies there to who are older now and were in the NICU. It gave us hope. There were a set of twins there born at 23 weeks. AMAZING! It started out a little chilly in the morning, but once we got moving it warmed right up.
On another note, I had a job interview on Friday. It is a total God send and I am very excited about it. I have a 2nd on Monday. I really feel positive about it. It is working at the company that took over the facility that I was working at before I had Emery. It is a recruiter and training coord. Right up my alley and back in the field that I love. PRAISE GOD! He answers prayers, as I have been praying that if it is his will I can go back to Oakwood, but if not, provide something similar. I will keep you posted and in the meantime please pray that I get the job (as I have to go back to work financially) and that we find an inhome caregiver to watch Emery. I have a few possibilites-I know Aunt Heather wishes an awful lot it could be her. We love you Aunt Heather!
We can't wait for our trip to Texas. We are going to get to see so many people we haven't seen in a long time.

We have been busy here. Michael's uncle passed away, and we were out of town for the visitation and funeral. It is a busy time of year and if the weather would cooperate, we could get out and frollic-but since it won't we are still cooped up a lot. Emery has been sick, but is on the mend-Michael has been sick and is on the mend too. Praise God one of us didn't get it.

We are really looking forward to our trip to Texas in just 3 1/2 weeks! A lot of our friends are coming into town and we can't wait to see them. We had a great visit with Grandee over Easter! Emery was dedicated and we got to be with our Ky family. We did miss Heather, Jason and Lukey though!
Emery is doing great. She is almost 12 lbs now, "talks" so much, and sleeps great-thru the night 8-10 hours! She is a true blessing.
We have a praise-Aunt Heather got her stint out and is doing great. She can eat and keep it down and looks fantastic. Link to her blog and check out the skinny minny!
