New Hat

So Emery has a new hat. She put a pair of jean cuffs that my mother in law had cut off some jeans she was hemming on her head. She loved it, so she sewed the top shut and gave it a little decorative fringe. She WOULD NOT take it off. She wore it all night. I had to take it off her head for the 1 picture without it.
She is doing so great. She was evaluated for therapy this week, but didn't qualify b/c she was off the charts with speech, developmental, cognative etc., so that was a blessing!
She loves Curious George, books, her new George chair and can now give you sweet kisses where as before she would just put her cheek up to yours. She is walking all over the place and tonight it was so nice, we got outside and played with sidewalk chalk.
She talks up a storm and can tell you where her nose is. She is a very sweet little girl and very smart.

What a difference a year makes

Same creepy bunny, much bigger Emery. This time last year, she was fresh out of the NICU and it was her debut with the Easter Bunny. Same look on her face too. She kept trying to play with the Bunny's hands, it was hilarious.

Snow Day

We were blessed with close to 4 inches of snow last night. Daddy is in Alabama on a fishing trip, so Emery and I are having a girls weekend!
We just had to get out and play in the snow and try our new pink snow boots out.
Emery wasn't quite sure about the snow but had fun anyway!

Just been busy

We have been busy around the Stone home.
We got some of the bad weather last week and it flooded our basement and we are going to have to have a new roof put on. We are waiting on the Ins. Adjustor.
Emery is getting so big. She loves books and says new things everyday.
Don't you just love my Valentine Sheets, she loves to nap in mommy and daddys bed. Silly girl.
Well, thats about it for now. We are excited for Mom to come visit tomorrow!

Helping Mommy Paint

So I am painting our bedroom little by little trying to get it done. Did a little touch up, set the paint brush down and someone wanted to help! Too bad she didn't paint the walls!

Praise God for his goodness

ANDREW HAS BEEN FOUND!
The newspaper released this today:
Danville teen missing
By VICKI STEVENS vicki@amnews.com
A missing person report has been filed after a Danville teen disappeared Wednesday after being dropped off at school.
Andrew Reed, 15, a freshman at Danville High School, was dropped off at the school Wednesday morning but was missing in the afternoon when his mother went to pick him up. Nearly a week later, his parents still have not heard from him.
Cathy and Eric Reed learned that their son apparently hid a duffel bag of clothes outside their house on Alta Avenue and had someone pick it up the day he disappeared.
Cathy Reed said her son was upset with her the day he disappeared because she would not let him ride a skateboard to school when the temperature was 19 degrees.
Andrew has failed to return home a time or two in the past but usually was missing just overnight or so, never this long.
The Reeds are concerned that the frigid weather could threaten his safety. "That's what terrifies me," said Cathy Reed.
Missing person reports have been filed with Danville Police Department and Lincoln County Sheriff's Department. In addition, fliers are being printed up for circulation, and a $100 reward is being offered for his return. Anyone with information may contact either of the police agencies.
Andrew is 6 feet tall, weighs about 140-145 pounds, and has blue eyes and brown hair. He was wearing a brown Carhart jacket with hood, blue jeans and black and white tennis shoes. The duffel bag is green and the type used by the Marines. His mother said his hair is slightly longer now than it was in the photo.

He turned himself in with the help of his friends. He had been in Danville at a friends house!
He was taken to Elizabethtown to the Juvenile detention center. Praise God that he is safe. Thank you so much for your prayers!

Please take time to pray...

For me today. I talked to Andrew's mother last night and made a commitment to go to each of the stores in our town today and show his picture and ask if anyone has seen him.
The reason I am scared is because I know that God is in control of this situation and I don't want anything I do to hinder Andrew from staying where he is and not fleeing when he finds out that people are on the lookout for him.
Andrew is not saved, says he doesn't believe in God and has experiemented with Drugs and alcohol. These are the things he has told someone at church. I am not sure if his family is aware of all of that, so if you are from church and reading this, please keep this confidential.
I pray that someone would recognize him and know exactly where he is. That is my prayer going forward with this journey I am going to take today. I am just blessed that it is MLK day and I am off work and able to do this. I knew that God has us in the awful town for something. Ha Ha.
I will keep you updated on things as they progress.
Pray for the will of God to be done!

Heavy heart

Here are some pictures from today. It is absolutely freezing here. Brrrrr.....
Emery is a big girl now. She has started table food and whole milk this week. We went to the NICU grad clinic this past week and they did her 12 month check up. They did a series of Bayley Tests with her which she did great with. She pointed to the baby, ball and spoon in the pictures when they asked her where they were and when they asked about where the shoe was she looked down at her foot! THATS MY GIRL!!!
She loves her food and milk. She has done great with it and we are weaning her off the bottle too, cold turkey. She has done great. She is my little trooper. She is so smart too. And I am not just saying that because she is mine!
Several things for you all to pray for (and the reason for my heavy heart):
Andrew Reed and his family. They go to our church. Andrew is 15 and has been missing since Wed. Someone thinks they spotted him in the town we live in which is small, so we are on the lookout etc. Please pray God brings this child home safe and that he has a place that he is staying and not on the streets, as it is extremely cold her and in the single digits at night.
Pray for Janessa and her family. This is a friend of mine from Highschool's sister.
She is pregnant and found out she has breast cancer. Here is an update I got from her sister today:
"Thank you so much. She started chemo on Tuesday. She is feeling a little tired but that's it. Her liver and chest scans both came back clear. That means that the cancer has not spread to those organs. Which is AWESOME. They can't can her bones until the baby comes. They said it is unlikely that the cancer is in the bones since it is not in her organs. WHEW! She will do 12 weeks of chemo which will put her 4-6 weeks from her due date. They will decide at that point if HE is strong enough and will take him early. She will then have 12 more weeks of chemo 3 weeks after HE comes. At that point they will decide when to do the double masactomy and remove her ovaries. She's ready. Did you notice that she is having a BOY! "
Please keep her and her husband and their 1 year old daughter in your prayers.
Also, please pray for my dear friend Jacqueline. She is having more tests run as they are trying to determine if she has MS. They also this week got back her blood test results and feel she might along with the other symptoms have Lupus or something in that family. Please pray for her that she will be eased from pain and that the Dr.s will determine all that is wrong and be able to treat it!
Also, if you haven't checked out www.cfhusband.blogspot.com yet, you MUST. You will be truly blessed!
Well, I guess that is about it for now.

Emery is finally on the mend

Finally after 2 antibiotics, 1 decongestant and 2 antibiotic shots along with some ear numbing drops and a chest x-ray, Emery is on the mend. Bless her heart. She hasn't felt good since Christmas.
We have been home with her since Monday. Now Michael has a sinus infection.
She has another ear infection only in one ear this time praise God, a sinus infection and on top of all that is getting her molars and 2 new teeth up front.
I have not seen her this sick since the NICU.
Not fun. But she is on the mend today and feeling better, if we could just get her nose to stop pouring. We have gone thru a box of Kleenex!
Please pray that she starts to feel 100% soon.
Hope you all had a great New years.

Christmas 2007

We had a great Christmas. Santa was good to us.
Emery got lots of books, a new baby doll, Leap Pad and book, Princess couch and a baby laptop and much more.
She didn't quite know what to think, but we know that next year will be the big year for her as far as understanding it all.
Glad that the holidays are coming to and end and I hope that you had a fabulous Christmas with your family etc.
