DALLAS...Luke's 2nd.....Family Time

We sure enjoyed our trip to Dallas! Thanks again to our family there for everything.
It was Lukey's 2nd b-day and I cannot believe it. It seems like he was just born.
We had a great time despite the 107 and 103 degree days we endured. I had forgotten what that heat felt like.
Here are some pictures for you to enjoy from our trip. It sure was good to see Cynthia and meet Baby Alexander too. What a little cutie pie!

Sunday, July 16, 2006

Well, we fly to Dallas on Wed. morning! So excited to be going! Just not looking forward to the heat. It is so hot here today that I can't imagine what it is going to be like next week in Dallas.

It is always great to go to Dallas for a visit. It has been way too long since I have been there. Michael is not looking forward to the flying part, but is excited to go otherwise!
I can't wait to converse with Lukey and hang out with him and my family. I can't wait to take a dip in the pool (something I haven't done in I don't know how long).
I am excited to see Cynthia and Roland and meet baby Alexander! He is going to be such a cutie pie.

2 more days of work and then off on vacation! Gotta Love it!
I am 19 weeks tomorrow and feeling it! My belly is getting bigger and bigger everyday it seems.
I got my hair cut and highlighted yesterday! Sometimes you gotta just do that to make you feel a little sassy. So it is short and blonde again!

Well, that is about it, just trying to stay cool.
Oh ya, we were supposed to find out what baby Stone was this past Thurs, but Dr. Karon had an emergency C-Section that she had to do and we didn't get an ultrasound. Needless to say, It was a very disappointing day! We won't find out now until Aug. 1st when we go to Dr. Campbell our High Risk Dr. But we did hear the heartbeat (140) and baby Stone kicked when we did it and you could hear it. It was very cool. We are just excited that Baby is doing great!
It weighs 7 oz and is 6 inches long. Can you imagine!!!!
Can't wait to find out what it is though! I still think it is a boy. Grandee says that she thinks it would be neat to have a little granddaughter, but she doesn't care of course either way. Gigi says that she still thinks it is a boy. We will see, the verdict is still out! Will keep you updated for sure!

This is me a couple of weeks ago. I was 15 weeks.
I am 18 now and we go to the Dr. on Thurs. to hopefully find out what we are having. I hope that baby Stone cooperates so we can tell. We are very excited to find out what God has blessed us with!

We are really looking forward to our trip to Dallas and spending time with our family! Only 11 more days!!!!

Sunday, July 02, 2006

It is like an inferno here today! 93 degrees! I am miserable.
It is days like these that I wish we had a pool to soak in.
This weekend was the 4th of July parade here in Crab Orachard. Last year J, Heather and Lukey and Mom were here and we had a great time. I missed them being here! I posted a picture from last years parade.
Things are good here. Just HOT!
We had a cook out last night at our friends house and we are going to go to another one on July 4th! The Lincoln County Fair is in town this coming week to, so too bad Yall arent here to go to the Demolition Derby with us too!
We are looking forward to our trip to Texas! Won't be long now!
We go back to the Dr. on the 13th, and hopefully we will be able to find out what Baby Stone is! Keep your fingers crossed! We are dying to know!
Michael's Diabetes is doing great. He has not had one regular soda since he found out that he has it. He has totally modified his diet and his sugars are down around 204ish. He is doing great. They put him on Glucophage so that should help too, but I am so proud of the hard work he has done!

Weddings and Christmas

Well, it was another busy weekend!
We had 2 weddings to go to...one Michael did the pictures and I did the sound for the wedding. The other we just attended. It was a couple from our church. It was an outdoor wedding (it rained all the way up to it), but it turned out lovely.
Today we had lunch with Matthew, Jennifer, Mary and the kiddos. Jennifer brought me the biggest box of maternity clothes! It was just like Christmas! There are so many things in there that I can wear! I am so gratful for them and for the clothes that Heather loaned me to wear and the ones that mom has found and sent!
We are looking forward to our visit to Texas in 3 weeks for Lukeys b-day! Of course Michael isn't looking forward to the plane ride, but once we are there, he will be fine!
We will get to stay for 5 days, so we will get some wonderful family time in! I am hoping that we know what we are having before we go home, so I can hit the great shopping that Dallas has!
We go back to the Dr. again in 3 weeks.
Michael was just diagnosed this week with Type 2 Diabetes (Cindy if you have any good Diabetic recipes, send them my way!)
We are really watching what he eats and modifying both of our lives as I am a prime candidate for it to and certainly don't want it! So please pray for him as giving up all the old habits is deeming to be very difficult for him!
Well, guess that is about it for now.

Coolest Picture Ever!

Today was amazing! Baby Stone is amazing! Motherhood is going to be amazing!
Check out the picture we got today from our ultra sound! How incredible is that. We are going to have to wait 3 more weeks until we go back to find out what it is, but how amazing is this picture! Perfect profile! Things were great, He said that everything is going along fabulous and the baby's heart is strong and 148 beats.
Days like today make it all worth it! Thanks Heather for the support last night when I didnt think that I could make it one more day! I love you dearly!

P.S. Notice the words- Profile and foot on the picture! To help ya out, the baby is straight up and down and facing the left!

Daddies

Leave me alone you Nazi's I don't feel good!
Guess I better update before I get kicked out of the blog club.
Went to the Dr. this week. 14 weeks, things are good. Baby Stone put his/her (sure will be glad when we find out what it is) hand up to it's face. It was soon cool. Very active too!
I hear that you are supposed to feel this big burst of energy in your second trimester, but so far, I don't. I feel like crap today.
I am in the stage where my regular clothes don't fit, but I don't fill out maternity clothes in the stomach all the way yet, very akward stage. Thanks Heather for the clothes you rummaged up and the book is awesome and for mom for sending them to me and for the shirt you sent too. I was in the rut of wearing the same thing. I sure don't feel very trendy anymore.
I go to my high risk OB on Monday. We should find out in the next 3 weeks what we are having.
Happy Father's Day to all the daddies out there! Jason-thanks for being the wonderful dad you are to my Lukey. He loves you very much and I am thankful you are such a great dad. I love ya too, Mistah Walkah!
To my sweet hubby who is going to be the best father! I can't wait to see him hold our baby for the first time and just watch his heart melt. What a wonderful, gentle man that God has blessed me with and I can't wait to see how he will be as a daddy. He has gone to every Dr. Visit with me and I love to watch his little face when they do the ultrasounds. He gets the biggest smile on his face! I love you!
I pray for our friend Jimmy as this is his first Father's day without his father and for my friend Cynthia who is having a rough time right now with her daddy and the Alzheimers. Also for James' stepdad Dave who was in a motorcycle accident and is in ICU. I pray that he recovers soon.
Thanks to my mommy to, who was Mommy and Daddy as well. I love you dearly so much and miss you tons.
Well, I guess that is about all for now. chat at you soon!

Dishwasher, Sinus Infection, VBS

Sorry again for the long period of time between blogs!
Things are hectic right now.
I had a wonderful anniversary! I got a new dishwasher and beautiful flowers! I am so excited about my dishwasher!!!
I am blogging at 3:30 in the a.m. because I can't breath! I have a severe sinus infection! I never realized how when you are prego your immune system is so susseptible to everything. I am so completely miserable. I got some antibiotics, so I am hoping that they kick in and bring me some relief!
Michael and I go back to the Dr. on the 12th! I will be 14 weeks. Soon we will find out what the baby is. I am very excited about that!
This week has been VBS at church. Michael is the official photographer and my friend Jac and I have been doing the puppet shows. It is exciting to see kids so excited for the Lord!
I had Michael a b-day party cookout last weekend. It was so much fun. We had about 20 or so people. He is becoming quite the horseshoe player!
Work is busy. My boss got fired last Friday, so it is a little disorganized as of right now, but he needed to go, although I hate it for him and his family.
Can't think of much else, so I will wrap it up and see if I can lay my heady down and catch some Z's!

Anniversary II

Monday is our second anniversary! Happy Anniversary Sweetie! I love you so much and these have been the greatest 2 years! Just think, by next anniversary we will have our sweet baby Stone to celebrate with! Thanks for being a wonderfully sweet husband!

Wednesday, May 17, 2006

It has been a while. I am so super busy at work.
The morning sickness stage has hit the last 2 weeks and it is awful. It is all day. Please pray that my sickness subsides and for strength for Michael and I.

I had a good Mother's day. I got the Willow Tree Figureine of the pregnant woman from Heather and a very sweet card. They meant so much to me!
Michael made me the sweetest card. He is so tenderhearted and wonderful. I can't wait to see him with Baby Stone.
I wish I could have been there to celebrate it with Mom and my family.

Michael is very busy with his new role as Worship Leader at church. He has recruited me to be on the praise team, so that keeps us both busy.

That is about all, short and sweet today.
Thanks for all of your prayers thus far... keep em comin!

Baby Stone

Another exciting day in the Stone household. Baby Stone's heartbeat is strong as can be and beating oh so fast. Everything looks great. My blood pressure is right where it needs to be and I have only gained 1 pound.
Dr. Karon said everything is perfect thus far! Baby Stone was moving around a little too. What an amazing miracle! I can't wait to find out what we are having! I love Baby Stone so much already I can't imagine what it will be like when he or she gets here!

Week in review

Well, another week has come and gone.
Things here are going well. We have had an unusually wet and cold May thus far. Maybe we won't have a crazy hot summer... I will keep my fingers crossed.
Our weekend consisted of our friends J and Jac's son's birthday party at KC's Gymnastics. Man was it hard for me not to get back into my gymnastics mode and start doing it all over again. But I refrained. I didn't think a prego woman doing flips on the trampoline at a 2 and 3 year olds birthdays was oppropriate!
God has blessed Michael with a new endeavor. For the past several months Michael has been in charge of all the Powerpoint presentations for the sermons and songs etc. Plus he plays drums too in the worship band. Well, Vola our pastor has approached him and asked him to come on staff as the Music and Technology Leader.
It is such a blessing, and the extra income will take care of baby Stone's daycare needs.
God is so good!
On that account, I found a great daycare in the town that I work that we are going to check out for baby Stone. It is a WONDERFUL place. You have to have a code to get in and out and they have cameras so if you want to review the tapes of the day, you can. They have so many activities that they do. I guess that is why there is a 10 month waiting list.
Thank you for all your prayers for Lukey. I am sure you have all read my sister's blog on the process, but if not, he came out of his surgery great and is on the mend. Hopefully soon his meds will be gone and he will be back to his old self.
Please pray for my dear friends Annie and Mike. Their son Dillon is having surgery on his little man part as well, and we pray that God will place his hands upon him and guide the Dr's thru this.
Work is going good. Just very busy for both of us. I love my job though and am thankful that God brought me there.
Well, off to eat a bite and get ready to turn in for the night.
Cindy I miss ya and hope you had fun in Vegas.

Pray for Lukey

Please pray for sweet Lukey as he has surgery tomorrow.
I know that he will do great. He is having tubes put in his ears and also having some work done on his little man part.

Oh Lord, I pray for Luke. I pray that you would bless him tomorrow. I pray for wisdom for the surgeons. I pray that everything will go great. I lift him up to you and pray for a wonderful recovery. Thank you for modern medicine to fix things when we need it. I pray that you would comfort Heather and Jason tomorrow as Luke is under your care. Thank you for your faithfulness and your love. Amen.
Not much really new to report.
Michael and I had date night Friday night. We went to the drive in movie. That is the coolest experience. You get in for $5 and get to watch 2 movies. We saw Scary Movie 4 and the other one was Benchwarmers, but we were too tired by the 2nd one, so we came home. But it is a very cool experience. And just think, we can take the baby when he/she comes, and still go to a movie.
Michael went fishing yesterday and they caught close to 80 fish. They brought home 37! That is a lot of fish!
Today we went to church and I took a long power nap this afternoon.
There are 2 new babies at our church, and soooo cute. I was holding Pierce this morning, and just cannot wait to be a mommy.
Well, I guess that is all for now. Adios!

Baby's Heartbeat

Baby Stone's heartbeat was heard and seen today. What an amazing day for us!!!!
Baby's are such a miracle!!
I am 7 weeks 1 day and my due date is Dec. 11th. The baby is perfect to this point! Praise God!
Same ol stuff going on here.
I have my 2nd Dr.'s appt. this morning to hear/see the heart beat, so hopefully it isn't too early.
Things are good. Just very tired and the nausea is kicking in. But other than that I am doing great.
Not really much else to blog. I know, super boring lately.
Work is going good. Just busy, we are putting in a new payroll system, so that has consumed the majority of our time. But I love where I work and what I do. I am blessed to have found this job.
I will post more later after my appt.
Hope all of you are doing well!

Tuesday, April 18, 2006

Things are great! Spring is in the air and our Easter visit with Mom was bunches of fun! We had a busy weekend, but had a wonderful time with mom.

Things with the baby are good. I go Monday to the Dr. again and will see how Baby Stone is doing. I am feeling good, just tired all the time.

Short but sweet blog for now.... hey at least I updated! :)

BABY!!!!!

Well, there is some exciting news to share with you all. I AM PREGNANT!
I had my Dr. Appt. today, and Baby Stone is right there smack dab in the Uterus where he/she needs to be! Dr. Karon says everything looks great this time. It is NOT an ectopic pregnancy this time and I am 4 weeks and 2 days.
I have an appt. in 2 more weeks and hopefully by then I will be far enough along to hear the heartbeat!
Praise God. What an answer to pray and such a blessing!!!!!
The picture is of the ultrasound she did today of the gestational sac! Such an exciting time for us!

I have so not been the best blogger lately. I just have not taken the time to update it.
Things here are great! Just working and making purses and Michael has been fishing a lot. He loves this time of year where he can get out on the water and fish.

Mom is coming next weekend. Sure wish The Rice family was coming with her. Sure would like to see Lukey easter egg hunt. Love that boy.

We had a bad storm the other night that ripped thru and our huge pear tree out front got struck by lightning. It fell over in our neighbors yard. So, our friend Jimmy came over and helped Michael chop it down. That is both trees in the last almost 2 years that have been damaged. The front of our house looks so bare now with it gone.

I guess that is all for now. Hope everyone is doing great.
Cindy I hope you are doing good in TX. Glad your house in LEX sold! That is awesome!

Mom is coming down for Easter, so that will be a fun time and I am looking forward to it!
Sorry it is sort and sweet today, but at least I got it updated!

One of the reasons I love Lukey so much.....

WE THINK ALIKE!!!!
Things have been so busy! Work keeps me hoppin! I love my new job. There are not many jobs where you can actually make a difference in someone's life everyday you go to work.
I love the facility that I work at and the people that live there I have grown attached to a few just in the short time that I have been there.
One in particular named Tim. If you have ever seen the movie Radio... that is him all over again!
He is legally blind and also has mental retardation. He is my buddy. He comes into my office and asks if he can play his CD on my computer. His favorite is The Bee Gees. #13 is his favorite which is Staying Alive. I haven't see him around at all this week, but he makes you smile when he does come around. I am so blessed to have found a job that I love so much. Thank you Lord for your blessings! I can't believe that I worked for Al Durso for so long. What was I thinking.

I have been "sick" lately. I have a cronic cough that has now moved down into my chest. I finally got some antibiotic and I am hoping it will rid me of having to cough every 5 seconds or so!

My purse business has taken off. The ladies at Oakwood continue to gobble them up. I am making UK (University of Kentucky) purses and they love them... you know people do "Bleed Blue" around here! I am so fortunate to have this one lady who bought one and has spread the word. She calls me everyday with new orders. I am really not even having to do hard core selling of them. The orders just come. It is nice to have some extra $$$ !

It is supposed to be spring here, but the weather is so crappy here. Rain/snow and cold! Bring on the real Spring!!!

Church is going good. We are trying out a new worship leader as we lost ours to Pastor another church full time. We are anxiously awaiting how God is going to yet again bless our church!
Our Youth group is slow going. Our kids are all about the fun stuff, but worshiping the Lord and Bible Study gives them short attention spans. But as my good buddy Judy says, just meet them where they are! So that is what we contine to do.

Desert Wind

Look for the new CD out by Desert Wind.
Michael and his band spent all day yesterday in the recording studio making their CD.
Pretty cool to have such a talented hubby!

What a week!

Well, it has been a while and I am sorry for that! Glad to be back in the world of bloggers!
I started my new job this past Tues.
God is so good and his mercy is everlasting!
He has blessed me with such a wonderful job. I am working in H.R. for a place called Oakwood.
Oakwood is a facility for folks with mental retardation and other mental issues.
I am so fortunate to be able to have gotten on there in H.R. I love, love, love it!
Thank you God for this wonderful job!

Well, as many of you know, it is Girl Scout Cookie time. This brings great enjoyment to our home. I love the once a year that I get to get Thin Mints.
Well, this year it meant something else for our household. It meant that Mandie (our Lab) has found a new love of the Peanut Butter Patties. I came home from lunch with a friend last week, and she had pulled the box off the counter and ate 14 of them.
I called the vet and them told me to rush her in. So we went to the vet where they proceeded to induce her vomiting and when that didn't work, they had to go in and pump her stomach! Poor girl. She was having a hard time. But now she is doing good. Silly little girl scout!

Spring is beginning to creep in on us. Our pear tree is starting to bloom and it will be in full bloom soon. It is rainy season here in the end of March and April, so let the fun begin.
I love spring time in the Bluegrass. It is my favorite time of year. I cannot believe it is going to be 4 years that I have lived in Kentucky. My life has been so richly blessed since I moved here. I know that people thought I was super crazy when I packed up and left, but now seeing how life has turned out for me here I think they would agree that God has a purpose for everything and knows the plans that he has for us!

Well, I guess that is about all for now. I promise to try to be better about blogging!

Sunday, March 05, 2006

To all you blog Nazi's and you know who you are...get off my back! :O)

We have had a week of sickness in our household. Michael had strep throat and now I am getting a sinus infection. NOT FUN!

I am waiting to hear of 2 job opportunities and should know something early this coming week!

I found out that my cousin Ty is doing well, and that the Dr.'s do not feel that the cancer has spread and that he is going to be fine! Praise God!

That is about all that is going on right now. Will blog more this week!

I need to ask prayer for my Montana family!
I talked to my Aunt Ennie this evening and she informed me that my cousin Ty who has Prader-Willi Syndrome- now has cancer. Bless his little heart. He has already beat the odds by living as long as he has (he is close to 40 years old) and now this.
Please pray that God will be seen thru all of this as I am unsure about their salvation.
Pray for my aunt Ennie, my cousins Ty and Tanner and my uncle Bob.
Ennie has some very tough decisions ahead of her regarding his well being and doesn't feel that chemo and radiation are going to be an option as his body and mind would not withstand it.
This is such a very sad situation! Thanks for your prayers!

Snow, Snow and more snow

It has been snowing here in the bluegrass for 2 days!
It started yesterday about the time that we were leaving for the lock-in, and continued all thru the night and all day today! I love it. I love the sight, I love the sound, I love the texture of it! I LOVE SNOW!!!!! It is so not what I am used to being born and raised in the Lone Star State!

Our lock in was great! We had 20 kids from both churches and had a great time! We fed them, gave them tons of caffeine and took them bowling!! Then we crashed for the night at JC Powerhouse-a place that some peeps from our church converted into a Christian hangout for kids.
All of the leaders are dog tired today as we got NOOOOO sleep at all! I sleep literally all day today!
Hope you all are having a good weekend so far. For those of you in Texas-enjoy the snow pictures!

Busy Busy

Busy Busy Week! Busy making purses! Also, we are having a lock in with our youth tonight, so I have been busy planning that. Now they are calling for a winter snow storm to be heading in! That should make for an interesting smore and weannie roast!

My week back has been good. Just focusing on my purse biz. and also my Stayin Home and Lovin it Business!

Short and sweet today, sorry folks! Will blog more later!

We got cows!!!!!

Well, I am winding down my trip in Dallas and will be leaving tomorrow morning headed back to KY. I talked to Michael this morning where he filled me in on all the things I have missed:
Friday night our dog Mandie starts going crazy at 4:30 AM... running and howling around the house-something that she never does. Michael got up to find out what the whoopla was about, and right in front of our house a car ran off the road and over into the ditch. Michael said the car was completely crushed... he is not sure about the driver?
Then, we got 4 inches of snow...he says my car is completely covered...can't even see it!
Wow, from Dallas 70's to 4 inches of snow!!!
The biggest thing was this morning as Michael was getting ready for church. We have a huge field and barn across the main road from our house. He got out of the shower and was getting ready when he heard a very loud MOOOOOOO. He didn't think anything of it, being that we hear them sometimes... He brushed his teeth and again heard MOOOOOOOOO. He said that it sounded like it was on our back porch. So he looked out side and low and behold...He said there were between 30-50 cows in the back yard. All over the place. Running in the field, in our yard, the neighbors yard and all in the culdisac subdivision in our neighborhood. I so wish that I would have been there to see that!
I have had such a great time hanging out this week with my family and friends. What a true blessing it is to be able to spend time with the ones we love!
I miss Michael and will be excited to see him!
Please pray for little Lukey... He has an ear infection and is not feeling good at all!

CHEER BAGS

Here is my newest idea to make $!
I am making purses, as I told you in my previous blog-but I got an idea to make bags/totes. I made this one to hopefully sell to a couple of cheer moms at the Highschool for their daughters. Let me know what you think!

Wednesday, January 25, 2006

Well, I am still waiting to hear about my job interview. I heard from Kelly's today and they said that he is still interviewing and has 2nd rounds to go. I was under the impression he was done! So just waiting to hear. Should have an answer by the end of the week!

I am enjoying my time at home. I am passing the time away with purse making. My friend Jacqueline is going to sell them at her school for me. Thanks Girlie!!!!
I will try to take some pics. of them and post them so you can see my handy work!

Well, that is about it for now.. boring I know!

Friday, January 20, 2006

Well, here another week has come and gone.
My latest news is that I am no longer working, and waiting to hear from my "dream job" interview on Monday.

I am hoping to slip in a trip to Dallas for at least a week or so to visit.

I am truly amazed at how God is in control and proves himself to me daily! What a wonderful God we serve!!!

No other big news here! Talk to you later!

Osama's latest words:

My message to you is about the war in Iraq and Afghanistan and the way to end it.
I had not intended to speak to you about this issue, because, for us, this issue is already decided: diamonds cut diamonds.
Praise be to God, our conditions are always improving, becoming better, while yours are the opposite.

However, what prompted me to speak are the repeated fallacies of your President Bush in his comment on the outcome of US opinion polls, which indicated that the overwhelming majority of you want the withdrawal of the forces from Iraq, but he objected to this desire and said that the withdrawal of troops would send the wrong message to the enemy.
Bush said: It is better to fight them on their ground than they fighting us on our ground.
In my response to these fallacies, I say: The war in Iraq is raging and operations in Afghanistan are on the rise in our favour, praise be to God.

The Pentagon figures indicate the rise in the number of your dead and wounded, let alone the huge material losses.
To go back to where I started, I say that the results of the poll satisfy sane people and that Bush's objection to them is false.
Reality testifies that the war against America and its allies has not remained confined to Iraq, as he claims.

In fact, Iraq has become a point of attraction and recruitment of qualified resources.
On the other hand, the mujahideen, praise be to God, have managed to breach all the security measures adopted by the unjust nations of the coalition time and again.
The evidence for this are the bombings you have seen in the capitals of the most important European countries of this aggressive coalition.

As for the delay in carrying out similar operations in America, this was not due to the failure to breach your security measures.
Operations are in preparation and you will see them on your own ground once the preparations are finished, God willing.
Based on the above, we see that Bush's argument is false.
However, the argument that he avoided, which is the substance of the results of opinion polls on withdrawing the troops, is that it is better not to fight the Muslims on their land and for them not to fight us on our land.
We do not object to a long-term truce with you on the basis of fair conditions that we respect.
We are a nation to which God has disallowed treachery and lying.
In this truce, both parties will enjoy security and stability and we will build Iraq and Afghanistan which were destroyed by the war.
There is no defect in this solution other than preventing the flow of hundreds of billions to the influential people and war merchants in America, who supported Bush's election campaign with billions of dollars.

Road Trip

Well, we haven't had a road trip in a long time, but we took one last night!
Our friends J and Jaqueline sold his truck to a man in Indiana, so we decided to ride along and follow the men as they set out to deliver it. We first made a pit stop for some dinner in Louisville. They have a new Cheesecake Factory, so I introduced it to all of them. They LOVED it! Finally we made it to Terre Haute, IN and checked in for the night.
The guys got up early Sat. morning to deliver the truck, then it was breakfast at IHOP!!! Love, Love, Love IHOP! Haven't been there since Dallas, and years at that!

We had a great time. I love road trips. Good way to get your mind off job crap!

Update on my job crap:
I had a 3rd and final interview on Thursday. The final decision will be made next Mon. the decision maker will be out of town all next week! Torture yes, but I am so sick of worrying about it, that I am not going to anymore! Whatever happens....happens!

Happy Birthday to Eileen!
Old woman!

I woke up this morning with a new sense of refreshment. I am not nervous or worried at all about my job situation. I have my interview here in a few hours and am going to meet a girlfriend for lunch! I feel very confident about things and know that it is all in God's timing and plans. I will let you know how it goes! Thanks for your many prayers!!!

Job Update

I have a 3rd and hopefully final job interview with the sales manager on Thurs.
I am continually praying that I will wait upon the Lord and not to impatient...which for me is hard most of the time!

My boss got in a yelling, screaming, pushing match with the branch manager today right in the middle of the office infront of the whole sales staff. Classy organization I work for huh! I have GOT to get out of there!

Please continue to pray for my job situation, before I pull my hair out. It seems like a hopeless situation!

Another weekend come and gone

Well, my singing "debut" went well I am told. I was nervous, but many folks said that they can't believe that I hadn't gotten up and sang before now, so I guess that is a good thing.

I am hoping to hear about my job this week. Please pray for me that everything will come together! I am holding tightly to Jeramiah 29:11- I know the plans I have for you, Plans for your future......

This weekend went by so quick for us. I hate that, because here it is Monday already and time to head back to work and do it all over again! I am thankful though to have a job to go to!

2nd week of Jan. already, can you believe it!

Well, gotta jump in the shower, Have a great week!

Daily Randomness

Well, my second interview went seemingly well. I am just playing the waiting game now. I hopefully will hear something on Monday. I still feel very confident about it! I will keep you posted!

Well, I have made a resolution after going shopping tonight. My sis in law Jennifer bought me a Lane Giant I mean Lane Bryant gift card for Christmas, and I got me some new snazzy jeans and a night gown. I had to go up a size in Jeans from the last time I went shopping for Jeans. That sucks!!! So, I am going to dedicate my new year to loosing weight. I used to be so much skinnier and hate that I have gained so much! Maybe you could send me some of your new recipes Amber!

One thing to gripe about! On our way home from Lexington tonight, I noticed that people STILL have Christmas trees up and plugged in mind you... and their house lights still on! CHRISTMAS IS OVER FOLKS AND IT IS THE 5TH OF JANUARY!!!!!!! Take them down!!!!!! If any of you who are reading this still have your stuff up, please don't be offended, just take them down!
Ok, I am done!

I have been asked to do special music at church Sunday night, and Michael invited the whole family, so now the preasure is on! Pray for me!

I will post a hair picture soon, I promise!!!

LONGHORNS CLAIM 4TH NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

HOOK EM HORNS!!!!

New Year, New Hair Cut, New Job

Well, here it is 2006~!
Another year has come and gone. I am glad that we have a new fresh slate and a whole year ahead... minus 5 days...

I have a new short sassy "do"- pictures to come.... for the new year. I was so sick of it being longer I couldn't stand it anymore!

I have a 2nd job interview that I am waiting to confirm, for a new dream job! I also found out yesterday that my lovely boss-and of course I am being sarcastic- already hired someone to take one of our places in my office and I believe it is for mine... gotta love that huh! The real kicker is that he wasn't planning on telling us/me until I guess he handed out a pink slip...
So, I am really anxious these days. I really, really want the job that I interviewed for, which is a Regional Recruitor and they say that I am their top pick, so I feel pretty confidant about it. But now not only do I want it, but I have to get it! I hate feeling like this...again!

I know that God is in control of the whole situation and I will continue to try to keep that at the forefront of my mind. Last night at church we only had 1 girl show up for our Kick off of our Bible Study, so we joined in with the younger ones to have a Bible Study together and then they had a craft, so for kicks, we did it too. We made shields out of paper plates in reference to the verse " The Lord is my strength and my shield"! I know that God wanted me to be in there for that to give me a gentle yet crafty reminder! It is funny how He can use a simple paper plate to bring us back to reality!

New Year , new to-do list... I am not making resolutions because they never stick, so I am just making a to-do list of things I want to accomplish! More on that to come.

No time for blogging...or anything else

Ugghhh... this time of year is so crazy! I am still trying to get the last bit of Christmas shopping done and still haven't even sent out my Christmas Cards. I am a disgrace!

Mom and Heather think I am scamming them and really coming home for Christmas. I wish that was the case, but unfortunetly it isn't! Love you guys and wish we could be there for Christmas!

Short but sweet tonight, gotta run and get things done! Sorry for the short boring blog! More to come later!

Love this time of year!

I love this time of year! One of the reasons why is because every night after a long day at work- I come home, run to the mailbox and right there sitting in the mail box is another Christmas card and PICTURE of one of my "nieces or nephews". I love, love, love that! I always pack them away in the decoration box each year, so I can compare from year to year how much they have changed! Never stop sending me the pictures! I am still working on getting mine out, so if they come after Christmas don't be surprised!

We are starting to both feel better. I am still taking my 2 Tylenol cold and flu pills nightly, but it is helping! Between the rain and sleet and snow, it is no wonder that everyone is sick here.

I had my post op. Dr.'s appt. on Monday, and Dr. Karon says that everything looked great and she says that we can resume trying to have a baby. Praise God. So, I am not going to stress about it, as I know that God is in control and that it is his timing anyway and it will all happen according to HIS will!

The kids in the youth group continue to be excited about the upcoming events we have planned. We are starting to see how God is working in their lives. What a wonderful God we serve!!!
I can't imagine life without him. We are gearing up for Bible Study that will start in Jan. Pray that God continues to reach the hearts and minds of our students. He has already worked on the heart of one of our girls, Kayla and she rededicated her life to him last Sunday! Praise God!

That is about it... Haven't even begun to shop for gifts yet. I guess I am behind. Oh well, that is not what CHRISTmas is about anyway!

The snow tubing pictures are in.....

We had a blast! Absolute safety, great fellowship and sooooo much fun! God is good!!!
More will be posted as soon as I get them off of my friend's digital camera!
What a great time we had. At one point we had 9 people linked together going down at one time! The kids had a great time and we got to know the kids better. Please pray for your kids as we learned first hand that sex, sex and sex are continuously on their brains. US:"Where do you want to stop to eat?" THEM: "How about Hooters". YIKES! So we know that we have a challenge ahead of us!
One of our girls rededicated her life to Christ this morning. I am so excited to see how God is working already in their lives.
Well, off to take a nappy nap. I am still feeling under the weather. Speaking of weather... It is snowing! I love that!

Don't ya just hate it when.....

You have a big trip planned and you come down with a really bad cold the day before!

Yes, it is true. I stayed home from work yesterday and felt terrible. I could not breath and felt all achey etc. So I drugged up, layed in bed, slept all day and went to bed early. No it is 3:22 A.M. and I am up taking more meds. and now I can't sleep from all the sleep I already got!

I have to be up in about 2 1/2 hours to get ready to go snow tubing. I suppose my jacket pockets will be full of cough drops and blistex. uggggghhhhhh

Don't you just love it when.....

You get a sweet little envelope in the mail and you open it and it is a coloring book page that your sweet little nephew colored on! Love that! Miss him!

You have been looking for a CD that is old as dirt but you loved every song on it and God blesses you by allowing it to be in the bargain CD section for $6.99- Heather- it was Michael English!!! Can you believe it!

You have a wonderful husband who cooks dinner when you are laying in bed with a pile of Kleenex surrounding you.

You feel truly blessed in your life and you wonder if it can get any better than this!

Well, I guess that I will try to mosey off to bed and catch the last few hours of sleep. I will post pictures from the tubing trip soon! Wish us luck AND safety!

Sorry it has been a while!
We too have been home not feeling well. I think there is a bug going around! Michael has been home 2 days from work.

Winter is officially here! Light snow flakes fell yesterday and it was 29 degrees! Cold, Cold, Cold!
I love this time of year. I am ready for the real snow to fall! Hopefully we will have a white Christmas!

We are taking the kids from our youth group on the snow tubing trip this weekend. We have 25 people going. It is going to be a great time!
Pray for safety and that we are a light to the lost kids that we know will be there!

Congratulations the the Wade and Janna! Can't wait to see a picture of Robert Thomas!

Church Directory picture time! Gotta love it!

Can't believe it is almost Christmas time. Sure doesn't feel like it. Soon it will be New years! Time sure flies!

What a difference a year makes!

Christmas is coming

Well, I think that tonight we might actually get out all the christmas decorations and the tree and decorate!
I am not so sure if we are going to be able to keep Mandie away from the tree, so I am a little hesitant to put it up.
I guess we can give it a whirl and see.
24 Days until Christmas!!!
